Popularly known for his role as Roshan Singh Harjeet Singh Sodhi in the television show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Gurucharan Singh has been missing for over twenty days now which lead to a frenzy among the media. After wondering about his disappearance, and after a few weeks his family and fans were relieved as he returned home safe and sound. The actor has kept quiet on what made him go without notice but while having an interaction with an Indian journalist recently he decided to respond to rumours that were making rounds including that it staged publicity stunt.
Gurucharan Singh on TMKOC Gatherings
According to Gurucharan Singh, he is yet to be paid for his work in the serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
In an interview with Parami News, Gurucharan opened up about people calling his disappearance a publicity stunt as he said, “Many people think I planned my disappearance for publicity, but that’s not true. If I wanted publicity, I could have given interviews to talk about the pending dues for my work in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. I could have used social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter etc. But I did not.” He further added, “Even coming back home after all this time there was no way that the news would not get out; however I did not give any interviews then because there was a lot of things going through my mind”.
Gurucharan Singh admits that he never desired coming back
However in the interview he explained how even though he left voluntarily when asked if he missed home or regretted leaving at some point of time during these months when people thought that you had abandoned everything here. ”I always believed in god from childhood because of my parents and at this stage of life when you feel down in spirits so much you turn towards God. So I was on a spiritual journey far away from home and did not want to come back. But there was something that made it necessary for me to return,” he concluded.
