The last few days have seen quite a buzz about Stree 2’s success — from the film’s collections to some interesting trivia. One of the popular discussions that has intrigued fans and critics is the striking similarities between the way the movie’s advertisement and the promotional posters of the second season of Stranger Things. Abhishek Banerjee has recently participated in discussions of these analogies while being interviewed by Parami News.

Addressing the attachment of the comparisons, the subject remarked, ”Pata nahi, I have no idea. Yeh marketing aur poster woh log kis tarah se sochte hain humein kya pata. Hum toh actor hain. Hamara toh kaam hai poster pe aana, banana thodi hai (I have no idea. It’s up to the marketing team and the designers how they wish to promote the film. Our work is to be on the poster, not to make it).”
The division commenced when fans perceived that the two series posters have the same colour and artistic properties. Both these movies depicted a freaky Shhanya where a young cast is capture against a backdrop of dark foreboding with an underlying threat in the atmosphere.
The similarity was so striking that a number of fans resorted to social media to make their claims. While some maintained that it were simply coincidences between the two films, some claimed that Stree 2 could have been based off the popular Netflix show.
Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. The movie was release on Independence Day 2024 and has so far earned its box office collection up to a total of Rs.421.85 crores.
