Chetan Kumar, an eighth-class student, of Amidalagondhi village of Madakasira mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district, who went missing on Thursday (November 28, 2024), was found murdered at a forest location on the Madakasiri-Karnataka border on Friday (November 29, 2024).
According to the Madakasira police, the parents complained after the boy did not return home after school on Thursday (November 28, 2024). The parents, along with relatives and neighbours, launched a search for the boy in the surroundings until late in the evening, but in vain. Some unidentified persons were said to have picked up the boy from the village outskirts around 6 p.m. on Thursday (November 28, 2024.)
Against this backdrop, the boy’s body was found in a forest location close to the village. The body, which bore external injuries, was shifted to the Government Hospital at Madakasira for autopsy.
Superintendent of Police V. Ratna said special teams were formed to track the culprits responsible for the murder. The CC camera footage in and around the village was under verification.
