The State Industries Minister, T.R.B. Rajaa, said that the 70% of MoUs signed during the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet (GIM) would turn into investments on Saturday.

The Industries Minister participated in the DMK’s IT wing zonal meeting held in the Krishnagiri district on Saturday.

Later speaking to the reporters, Mr. Rajaa said that regarding the MoU signed at the GIM, meetings were conducted regularly and the Chief Minister constituted a committee that included the Chief Secretary and other department secretaries. Three times discussions were held with the committee, and in the next two or three weeks another meeting will be held.

“We believe there are high chances that 70% (conversion rate) of MoUs will turn into investments. Especially the MoU signed during the Chief Minister’s visit to the United States would 100% turn into investments. Based on the MoU signed with Google during the Chief Minister’s visit, 20 lakh youth will get skill development training on artificial intelligence, and the training started on Friday. Regarding restarting the production unit in Chennai, next month the Ford company will provide details”, Mr. Rajaa added.

Denying the allegations of AIADMK that no industry started in Krishnagiri in the last four years, the minister said that the opposition is speaking for politics. Many industries are started in the district. The Krishnagiri district, especially Hosur, witnessed a big industrial development in the DMK regime, and the district will witness further development, the minister added.

Based on the instructions of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, DMK’s IT wing zonal meetings are being conducted. On Thursday, the Tiruchi and Thanjavur zonal meetings were conducted, and on Saturday, the Vellore zone meeting was conducted in Krishnagiri district. Instructions were given to the youth wing members in the meeting, and the IT wing will work hard to win all the 234 assembly constituencies in the 2026 assembly elections, Minister Rajaa added.

In the meeting, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R. Sakkarapani and DMK functionaries participated.
