In an extraordinary feat, seven faculty members and scientists of KLE Technological University (KLETU) have been ranked for fifth consecutive years amongst the top 2 percent of the world’s most influential scientists.
This time, in 2024, Stanford University along with Elsevier has launched global listing. This rank list was develop employing citation analysis of 22 scientific disciplines using Publication counts, Citation index, h-index, hm-index (co-authorship adjustment), c-score etc as core methodologies as reported by KLE Technological University.

The present analysis selects the top 100,000 by c-score or a 2% rank percentile and above. The list has two types of impact categories, one of which is a single year impact list, based on publications in the year 2024 only and the other a career impact list.
These seven scientists are part of 14879 Indian scientists participating in the world ranking system containing 223153 scientists in the year 2024.
Four researchers have emerged as the best on both the career as well as single year list namely Prof. Tejraj M. Aminabhavi and Prof. Nagaraj P. Shetti, Prof. Vinayak Gaitonde, and Prof. Prabhugouda Patil.
