$64,000 heist spree: Thieves target UPS and FedEx trucks in NYC, loot Gucci and Apple items

A group of five masked thieves conducted a series of robberies across three boroughs, targeting UPS and FedEx delivery vehicles and making off with jewellery, Gucci merchandise and other items valued at over $64,000.
The first incident occurred on April 1, when an individual broke into a UPS vehicle on West 48th Street near Sixth Avenue in Midtown, close to Rockefeller Center, at approximately 7:45 p.m. The perpetrator took 84 packages, though their contents and value remain unknown.
On May 10, two individuals entered a FedEx vehicle parked on Washington Street near West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District, beneath the High Line. They absconded with eight Gucci boxes containing goods worth $29,730 during the 12:20 pm incident.
A subsequent robbery took place on June 4 at 5:45 pm, where two individuals forcibly entered a UPS vehicle on West 45th Street near Fifth Avenue in Midtown, whilst two accomplices maintained surveillance. They took several bags of “precious metals” valued at minimum $100.
On June 7, a single perpetrator removed multiple clear plastic bags containing 122 packages, valued at approximately $12,000, from a UPS vehicle on Madison Avenue near East 55th Street.
Following a four-month gap, on October 15 at 10:30 am, two individuals, accompanied by a lookout, forcibly accessed a UPS vehicle on 47th Avenue near 30th Place in Long Island City. The value of items taken remains undetermined.
On October 18 at noon, an individual broke into a secured UPS vehicle on Ludlow Street near Stanton Street, Lower East Side, taking nine Apple iPhones, two Android phones and one Apple Watch, collectively valued at $9,500.
During a Halloween incident, three individuals targeted a UPS vehicle on Fifth Avenue near Ninth Street in Park Slope at 10:15 am, taking Apple products worth $13,450.
The final known incident occurred on November 5 at 10:30 am, when an individual took two packages from a UPS vehicle on Fifth Avenue near 13th Street, Park Slope. The value remains unknown.
As of Friday, no arrests had been made. The NYPD has released surveillance footage showing the suspects carrying their stolen items.
