There will be two victory rallies on Friday evening for a cricketer and a politician that will affect movement of traffic in the central as well as western parts of Hyderabad. The rally, to be attended by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters who will receive Andhra Pradesh’s new-elected Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu from Begumpet Airport to Jubilee Hills has been cleared for takeoff from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Victory Rally for Siraj beginning at 5:30 pm.
The cricketer who won ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Mohammed Siraj has his victory rally too at 5:30 pm starting from S.D. Eye Hospital up to Eidgah Maidan, Masab Tank. Cricketer Mohammed Siraj will join the procession which shall pass through Sarojini Eye Hospital Mehdipatnam all way to Eidgah Ground.
Both of these gatherings are destined to cause major congestion in the areas’ transportation system. There were pre-rally notifications released by the Traffic Police Department of Hyderabad regarding both venues.
AP CM landing around 6:30pm at Begumpet
According to Addl Commissioner (Traffic) Hyderabad police P Viswaprasad,”The AP CM is expected down into Begumpet airport by approximately 6:30pm. And followers are expected wait since they lead him over towards Telangana CM’s quarters in Banjara Hills. “From around 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening we are going to divert people coming from Secunderabad heading for Panjagutta outwards Rasoolpura with Ranigunj, Minister Road and PVNR Marg (Necklace Road). This route is closed so we advise drivers not use it but go straight at CTO junction in Patny, Paradise, Tank Bund or even PVNR Marg,” said the official.
According to the authorities, social media posts will also be made as warnings. And guidance for those moving along these roads.
“The Masab Tank rally is a small stretch and will be managed by ground staff through using flyover et al,” said the official.
The cricketer who used Instagram to welcome his fans expects several cricket lovers to join the rally too. “Let’s recreate the victory rally in Hyderabad with our very own world champion Mohammed Siraj. Tomorrow i.e., 5th July at 6:30 pm from Sarojini Eye Hospital Mehidipatnam to Eidgah Ground. See you all in Hyderabad,” read a post on the cricketer’s Instagram story.
