A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana has commended the efforts of P.V. Narasimha Rao, a former Prime Minister for having played a vital role in boosting economic growth through liberalization.
In New Delhi, India’s capital where he is presently, The Chief Minister went to the residence of Narasimha Rao and presented him with flowers on February 28th which marked his birthday. At his house in Delhi, he hanged a wreath around his picture and recalled the services rendered by the erstwhile Prime Minister.
The Honourable Mr. Revanth Reddy hailed Narasimha Rao’s activities while he was still serving as Andhra Pradesh’s CM. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy among others paid tributes to their national leader.
At this occasion both G. Prasad Kumar who is the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and G. Sukhender Reddy who at that time chaired council came together to bid farewell to their leader at assembly premises. They also placed garlands on his painting in those lobbies and recollected what this premier did for Indian economy so it could be back on rails again. The life of PV Narasimha Rao, an accomplished polyglot continues to be an inspiration for young people today.
Some prominent personalities including Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy visited Gyan Bhumi – PV Memorial situated in Necklace Road near Hussain Sagar Tank Bund area where they paid homage to Late P V Narasimha Rao – India’s Premier from 1991-96. Vani Devi (Narasimha Rao’s daughter) who is MLC; His son P.V Prabhakar Rao; K.Jana Reddy (Ex-Minister); Anudeep -Collector Hyderabad; Justice N.V. Sravan Kumar High Court; and H.Venugopal, the State Government’s advisor are among those who joined them in paying tribute to this former Prime Minister.
